Cuzco: Tarea
Woke up and took the taxi to school today as usual. I think tomorrow we are going to take the bus as it will pick us up right in front of the house and be cheaper as well (although only about S./ 0.60 less). After arriving I grabbed my Coca Tea and headed to class where I was relieved to realize that I could understand our teacher much better and enjoyed class much more than usual. However in culture/conversation class it was still hard to keep my eyes open. I think the teacher noticed all of us drooping so tomorrow we are taking a field trip to a cemetery to learn about burial traditions in Perú.
After class we found a restaurant with another S./ 8.50 deal of soup and entree with a drink. I got creamed corn soup, a Spanish omelette and lemonade. The soup wasn't too great but the omelette hit the spot. And on the way home we found a cheap vegetarian restaurant I'll be sure to try sometime!
We then returned to the school to work on a variety of homework: blogs, reports, exercises and a cover letter for me as well.
Lessons Learned:
- Llama meat tastes like a true 'animal.' Not a first-hand lesson learned, but a quote from my roomie Kat!
