Returning to a place you have been to but barely remember is an odd sensation. When I last visited Peru I turned 14 years old and spent the week in Trujillo, a Northern desert town. There the kids were cute and charming, the fruits were sweet and the people friendly.

But while I certainly enjoyed that trip, this time is sure to stick in my memory better. Now I am ready to practice Spanish, immerse myself in Peruvian culture during the home stays and see Machu Picchu.
